C and T - That’s us. Lyn Coote and Vania Tiatto. And ‘ed’ (ucation) is our area of professional passion.
We have learned and laughed together for the last 13 years in Australian and international schools as teachers and leaders. We have also led large scale professional learning initiatives geared towards improving systems, schools, and organisations. When the opportunity arose for us to put our experiences into action based on extensive practice research, we formed CT-ed so we could keep learning and supporting educators - doing what we love.
I embrace continuous learning, both personally and professionally, and strive to promote a culture of collaboration among educators. Core to my beliefs as an educator is facilitating the sharing of successful strategies and learning from each other's experiences by fostering a learning environment that encourages experimentation and innovation.
As an instructional designer and professional learning leader, I have consistently designed and implemented learning experiences that enable educators to embrace change. Resources, practical and experience-driven strategies, and on-going support to navigate new technologies and methodologies are core design features.
A dynamic and versatile educator I have successfully navigated a variety of roles, including teaching, leading, collaborating with industry thought-leaders, instructional design, international school evaluation, and consulting across the Asia-Pacific region. My experience spans working with government, independent, and International Baccalaureate educators and students from Early Years to Secondary. Schools, sites and systems I have taught, led and supported in bringing about change include rural, remote, regional and urban schools with enrolments from 12 to 2000+ students.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy indulging in my love of reading, dancing like nobody's watching, and working on ‘just-right-hard’ jigsaw puzzles.
I am dedicated to improving the learning lives of young people and adult learners, firmly believing that education is the key to unlocking endless possibilities.
Throughout my professional journey, I have worn many hats in various roles across Australia and internationally. From being a company executive director to school principal, and from teaching to coaching teachers and senior leaders, I have had the incredible opportunity to contribute to the field of education in diverse ways. As an instructional coach, consultant, and instructional designer, my focus has always been on enhancing the learning experiences of students and supporting best teaching and leading practices.
With a unique perspective and skill set, I have thrived in successfully leading strategic and complex initiatives geared towards improving systems, schools, and organisations. I love diving deep into challenges and finding innovative solutions that bring about positive change.
When I am not working, nothing brings more joy than hiding away with a good book, spending time outdoors, enjoying the company of family and friends, and indulging in great meals cooked by others.
